The Interdepartmental Council of Defence Industry and Ensuring of Supplies at the Ministerial Council is constituted with MC Decree No 120 of 25.06.2012 (promulgated in State Gazette, issue 49 of 29.06.2012, in effect from 30.06.2012). The Council is an advisory body purposed for developing the principles and providing coordination in implementing the state policy concerning the defence industry, export control of defence-related products, the country’s defence and mobilization readiness, and the international cooperation in terms of defence, economy and science and engineering relating to the defence and security of the country. The Interdepartmental Council supervises the execution of the Control of Export of Defence-related Products and Dual Use Ware and Technology Act.

 

The Interdepartmental Council has functions in the following areas:

  1. Defence industry;
  2. Control of Defence-related Products Export;
  3. Country’s defence and mobilization readiness;
  4. International cooperation in terms of defence, economy, and science and engineering for the benefit of defence and security;
